Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredientes

  • 4 sq. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, slightly softened
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 c. minced walnuts (opt.)
  • 4 sq. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate

Direcciones

  1. Heat 1 square chocolate in microwave on HIGH for 1 to 2 min or possibly till almost melted, stirring after each minute. Remove from microwave. Stir till completely melted. Set aside. Cut 3 squares chocolate into large (1/2 inch) chunks; set aside.
  2. Beat butter, sugars, egg and vanilla till light and fluffy. Stir in 1 square melted chocolate. Fold in flour, baking pwdr and salt. Stir in chocolate chunks and walnuts. Chill 30 min.
  3. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 min or possibly till lightly browned. Cold 5 min on cookie sheets. Remove and finish cooling on wire racks.
  4. Heat 4 square chocolate in microwave on HIGH 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 min or possibly till almost melted, stirring after each minute. Remove from microwave. Stir till completely melted. Dip 1/2 of each cookie into melted chocolate. Let stand on waxed paper till chocolate is hard.
  5. Makes about 2 dozen cookies. Prep time: 30 min; refrigeratetime: 30 min; baking time: 8 min.
