Ingredientes

  • 1 x (8-oz) package (1 1/2 c.) minced pitted dates
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 x (1 lb. 0.6 oz package) date quick bread mix
  • 1/2 c. margarine or possibly butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. minced walnuts
  • 1/4 c. quick-cooking rolled oats

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 375 F. Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. In medium saucepan, combine all filling ingredients except vanilla; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook 10 min or possibly till thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  2. Meanwhile, place quick bread fold in large bowl. With pastry blender or possibly fork, cut in margarine till crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Reserve 1 c. mix for topping. Press remaining mix in bottom of greased pan.
  3. Carefully spread filling over base. In small bowl, combine reserved 1 c. of base mix and oats; mix well. Sprinkle over filling.
  4. Bake at 375 F. for 18 to 23 min or possibly till top is golden. Cold 30 min or possibly till completely cooled. Cut into bars.
  5. Yield:32 servings.
