Receta Double Date Bars

Ingredientes
- 1 x (8-oz) package (1 1/2 c.) minced pitted dates
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 x (1 lb. 0.6 oz package) date quick bread mix
- 1/2 c. margarine or possibly butter, softened
- 1/2 c. minced walnuts
- 1/4 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
Direcciones
- 1. Heat oven to 375 F. Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. In medium saucepan, combine all filling ingredients except vanilla; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook 10 min or possibly till thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
- 2. Meanwhile, place quick bread fold in large bowl. With pastry blender or possibly fork, cut in margarine till crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Reserve 1 c. mix for topping. Press remaining mix in bottom of greased pan.
- 3. Carefully spread filling over base. In small bowl, combine reserved 1 c. of base mix and oats; mix well. Sprinkle over filling.
- 4. Bake at 375 F. for 18 to 23 min or possibly till top is golden. Cold 30 min or possibly till completely cooled. Cut into bars.
- Yield:32 servings.
