%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20some%20of%20the%20shimmer%20balls%20for%20angel%20eyes.%20They%20did%20look%20very%20nice%20prior%20to%20baking.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20baking%20the%20shimmer%20balls%20had%20kind%20of%20melted%20a%20bit,%20making%20them%20look%20a%20bit%20like%20their%20mascara%20had%20run%20.%20.%20.%20so%20I%20have%20to%20say%20don't%20bake%20with%20them%20.%20.%20.%20reserve%20them%20for%20decorations%20after%20baking.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20planned%20on%20dipping%20the%20edges%20of%20the%20wings%20and%20bottoms%20of%20the%20dresses%20into%20melted%20white%20chocolate%20and%20then%20into%20the%20sugar%20crystals%20and%20sugar%20strands.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20worked%20perfectly%20and%20looked%20very%20pretty.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnly%20thing%20.%20.%20.%20however%20scrummy%20they%20tasted%20.%20.%20.%20my%20angels%20came%20out%20looking%20decidedly%20alien-like.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EET%20.%20.%20.%20phone%20home.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Angel%20Cookies*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%20about%202%20dozen%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20are%20supposed%20to%20look%20like%20angels!%20Ideally%20they%20should.%20Mine%20looked%20like%20ET,%20but%20they%20tasted%20good%20so%20no%20harm%20done!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20180*C/350*F/%20gas%20mark%204.%20Line%20a%20couple%20of%20baking%20sheets%20with%20baking%20paper.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECream%20together%20the%20butter%20and%20sugar%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy.%20Beat%20in%20the%20egg%20and%20vanilla.%20Whisk%20together%20the%20flour%20and%20baking%20powder.%20Beat%20this%20into%20the%20creamed%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELay%20out%20the%20pretzels%20on%20the%20baking%20sheets,%20placing%20the%20curved%20ends%20together%20like%20wings%20and%20keeping%20space%20between%20them%20for%20the%20cookies%20to%20spread.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShape%2024%20walnut%20sized%20balls%20with%20the%20dough.%20Shape%2024%20balls%20about%201/4%20the%20size%20of%20the%20others.%20Roll%20the%20large%20balls%20into%20a%20cigar%20shape.%20Pinch%20one%20end%20narrower%20than%20the%20bottom,%20and%20then%20flatten%20into%20a%20triangular%20shape.%20Press%20each%20of%20these%20onto%20one%20set%20of%20the%20wings,%20covering%20the%20joining.%20Take%20the%20smaller%20balls%20and%20flatten%20them%20into%20a%20circle%20and%20place%20at%20the%20top%20end%20of%20the%20triangles,%20covering%20the%20top%20and%20wing%20joinings.%20Repeat%20until%20all%20are%20done.%20You%20can%20then%20place%20two%20small%20balls%20for%20eyes%20onto%20the%20heads%20of%20each.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2010%20to%2012%20minutes%20until%20golden%20brown.%20Remove%20to%20a%20wire%20rack%20to%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBreak%20the%20chocolate%20into%20bits%20and%20then%20carefully%20melt.%20Place%20your%20decorations%20into%20small%20bowls.%20I%20used%20sugar%20crystals%20for%20the%20wings%20and%20sugar%20strands%20for%20the%20bottoms%20of%20the%20dresses.%20Dip%20each%20of%20the%20pretzel%20edges%20in%20white%20chocolate%20and%20then%20into%20the%20sugar%20crystals.%20Likewise%20dip%20the%20edge%20of%20the%20dresses%20into%20white%20chocolate%20and%20dip%20them%20into%20the%20sugar%20strands.%20Set%20aside%20on%20a%20wire%20rack%20to%20set.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMany%20thanks%20to%20Dr%20Oetker%20for%20sending%20me%20these%20lovely%20little%20decorations%20to%20help%20me%20get%20on%20with%20my%20holiday%20baking.%20Dr%20Oetker%20products%20are%20available%20in%20grocery%20stores%20nation%20wide.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFeel%20free%20to%20like%20their%20facebook%20page,%20where%20you'll%20find%20lots%20of%20recipes,%20contests%20and%20other%20fun%20things!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOver%20in%20the%20Cottage%20today,%20Jam%20Surprise%20Muffins!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
