Dried Fruit Oatmeal Power Bars

Ingredientes

  • 3 c. Quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 c. Finely minced dry pears
  • 1/2 c. Finely minced dry cranberries
  • 3/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 c. Packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Grated lemon rind
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla

Direcciones

  1. In large bowl, combine oats and dry fruit; set aside. In large heavy saucepan, heat butter over low heat. Stir in sugar, salt, lemon rind, corn syrup and vanilla; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in oat mix. Turn into 13x9-inch baking pan; press mix to create an even layer. Bake at 350 F for 20 min. Cut into bars while still hot.
  3. Makes about 21 bars.
