Ingredientes

  • 6 gm butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar (caster)
  • 1 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. flour, self-raising
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 4 x apples, Granny Smith
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar (caster)
  • 1/10 tsp cinnamon, grnd

Direcciones

  1. Grease a 25 cm springform pan and set oven temperature at moderate 180C/360F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar, add in egg and beat well.
  3. Sift flour, add in half and beat to combine. Add in lowfat milk and remaining flour alternately (this will make a thick mix). Spread mix over the base of the prepared tin.
  4. Cut peeled, cored and quartered apples into thin slices but not all the way through, squeezing lemon juice over as you go. Place apples, core side down on the cake. Place in oven and bake for 1 hour.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Serve while still hot.
  6. Serve hot with cream as a dessert or possibly cool with afternoon tea.
