Fancy French Inspired potato casserole

Ingredientes

  • 4-5 medium russet potatos: washed and peeled
  • 1 fabulous wedge of Brie cheese (please leave on the rind...I promise it is delicious and edible!)
  • 3-4 Good sized leeks, cleaned, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • Salt & Pepper

Direcciones

  1. Prep:
  2. Preheat that oven to 400F
  3. Cut potatoes into 1/4 inch slices to layer and boil them in salted water until soft
  4. While you wait for those, add your trimmed leeks to boiling salted water. They only need about 3-5 minutes
  5. Whisk the milk and egg together
  6. Layer:
  7. In a 13x9 casserole dish start to layer!
  8. Row of half your potatoes...
  9. sliced half of brie cheese wedge...
  10. half your cooked leeks
  11. The rest of your potatos
  12. and then tuck the leeks under and over the remaining brie
  13. Finally, pour your milk/egg mix over and top with foil.
  14. Cook 45 minutes foil on and then remove untill brown and melty!
  15. You can easily add pre cooked ham to the layers for a quick 1 pan meal.
