Farmer Style Sour Cream Bread

Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. Hot water
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 pkt Active dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 x To 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 c. Dairy lowfat sour cream, at room temperature Vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Sesame or possibly poppy seeds, optional

Direcciones

  1. Makes 1 loaf
  2. Directions: Combine water, sugar and yeast. Stir to dissolve yeast and let stand till bubbly, about 5 min.
  3. Fit processor with steel blade. Measure 2 c. of the flour, salt and soda into work bowl. Process on/off to mix.
  4. Add in yeast mix to flour mix. Process till blended, about 10 seconds.
  5. Spoon lowfat sour cream proportionately over flour mix. Turn on processor and add in sufficient of the remaining flour through feed tube so dough forms a ball which cleans the sides of the bowl. Process till ball turns around bowl about 25 times.
  6. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Shape into a ball and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with hands into a circle about 8 inches in diameter. Brush dough with oil. Sprinkle sesame or possibly poppy seeds over dough, if you like. Let stand in hot place till doubled, about 1 hour.
  7. Heat oven to 375 F. Bake till golden brown, 25 - 30 min.
  8. Remove from cookie sheet. Cold on wire rack.
