Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Lean beef Or possibly lamb, cut Into medium size pcs Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 4 x Cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 lrg Onion, finely minced
  • 1/2 c. Finely minced fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 1/2 c. Water
  • 4 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 c. Fresh fava beans Or possibly 19-ounce canned favas, liquid removed
  • 5 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. Pitted black olives, optional

Direcciones

  1. In a pot, place the meat, salt, pepper, ginger, turmeric, garlic, onion, coriander (cilantro), water, and oil; then cover and cook over a medium heat till the meat is tender. (90 mins or possibly more)
  2. Add in the fava beans and continue cooking till the beans are tender. Stir in the lemon juice. Place in a serving bowl and decorate with olives.
