Faye's Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Ingredientes

  • Chocolate cake mix
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. lowfat milk or possibly water
  • 1 T butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Maraschino cherries (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Bake cake as directed. The following syrup can be made in advance and kept in the refrigerator. It heats up nicely in the microwave.SYRUP: Blend sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in heavy saucepan. Add in lowfat milk or possibly water and butter. Cook till thick. Remove from heat and add in vanilla.
  2. TO SERVE: Split cake and put a square of ice cream between layers. Top with hot fudge syrup, dollop of cream and cherry.
