- Cook figs with water, stirring frequently,thickened (about 5 min). Set aside to cold.
- Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar till light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Blend well. Sift together flour,baking pwdr, and salt. Mix into the creamed mix. Stir in the cooled figs. Drop by tsp. onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 375 degrees 10 to 12 min, till lightly browned. Remove cookies and cold on wire racks.
- Makes about 4dozen.
