- For crust: Combine 2 c. flour with salt. Cut in shortening till mix resembles particles like peas. Set aside one c. of mix. Add in water to remaining mix; stirring with a fork. Roll out to 14x10" rectangle. Fit into 9x13" pan.
- For filling: Combine apples with sugar and place over crust.
- Combine c. of reserved mix with brown sugar, 1/4 c. flour, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over top.
- Bake at 400 degrees F. for 35 to 40 min.
