French Bread Chicken Pizza

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 lb grnd chicken thighs
  • 1/4 c. fresh cilantro minced
  • 1/4 tsp grnd red pepper
  • 1 lb French bread loaf about 16 inches long
  • 1/2 c. tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. pesto sauce commercial
  • 4 x plum tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 ounce mozzarella cheese, part skim lowfat milk shredded
  • 2 ounce fontina cheese shredded

Direcciones

  1. Cook chicken in a medium-size nonstick skillet over medium heat till browned, stirring to crumble. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Combinechicken, cilantro, and red pepper in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Slice bread in half lengthwise; place bread, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat 1 minute or possibly till lightly browned.
  4. Remove from oven, and set aside.
  5. Combine tomato sauce and pesto sauce; stir well, and spread proportionately overcut side of bread halves. Top with tomato slices and chickeen mix.
  6. Sprinkle with cheeses. Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat 2 min or possibly till cheese melts. Cut each bread half into 4 pcs.
  7. NOTES : Can substitute provolone for fontina cheese.
