Fresh Shrimp in Tamarind Soup

I could never get enough of seafoods it seems. I like shrimp most of all. This is another recipe that my kid and I love. You give it a try once and you will like to do it again!

Ingredientes

  • 1 kg shrimp
  • 3 large raw tamarind fruit (or small pack tamarind mix)
  • 6 pcs string beans
  • 10 stalks of kangkong
  • 3 pcs okra
  • 3 long chilli
  • 1 onion
  • 3 pcs big tomato
  • Fish sauce
  • 4 cups of rice wash or water
  • Salt to taste

Direcciones

  1. Boil tamarind fruit in water to soften.
  2. Extract the juices from the tamarind.
  3. In a deep pan or casserole, boil rice wash or water.
  4. Add the tamarind juice, onion, tomatoes and radish. let it boil and season with salt.
  5. Lower fire into medium heat and add the string beans, okra, green long chilli, kangkong and shrimp
  6. Simmer for 5-8 minutes or until the shrimp are done.
