.%20%20At%20first,%20most%20of%20them%20didn't%20know%20each%20other,%20(they%20knew%20me)%20but%20over%20the%20past%2015%20years,%20we've%20answered%20and%20shared%20silly--and%20serious---questions,%20%20exchanged%20Secret%20Santa%20Christmas%20gifts,%20%20had%20a%20dieting%20contest%20in%20which%20we%20paid%20a%20$1%20a%20week%20and%20that%20money%20went%20to%20a%20scholarship%20fund%20for%20a%20Friday%20Friends%20son's%20memorial%20scholarship,%20and%20we%20went%20on%20a%20great%20vacation%20for%20my%2052%20birthday.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAND,%20%20we%20contributed%20recipes%20for%20a%20cookbook.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhich%20brings%20me%20to%20this...%20recipe%20%2337%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELinda's%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECottage%20Fruit%20Salad%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20said%20before--%20jello%20salads%20are%20hard%20to%20photograph.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20as%20I%20said%20before--The%20Handyman%20is%20going%20to%20have%20to%20suffer%20thru%20the%20'jello'%20section%20of%20the%20FF%20Cookbook,%20because%20he%20is%20not%20a%20jello%20fan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInteresting%20tho.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20this.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20tasted%20it.%20(%20I%20have%20no%20idea%20why%20or%20when)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20said%20--%20That%20Jello%20is%20good.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20said%20--%20really?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20said%20--%20it's%20the%20first%20jello%20salad%20I've%20ever%20tasted.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20said%20--%20are%20you%20kidding%20me?%20You've%20been%20saying%20for%20years%20how%20you%20only%20like%20plain%20jello%20and%20HATE%20all%20other%20types%20of%20jello%20salads?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20said%20--%20yep.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20this%20peach%20Jello%20Salad%20has%20the%20stamp%20of%20approval%20from%20the%20Handyman.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThat's%20worth%20a%20LOT!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaybe%20he%20loved%20the%20peaches*.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELook%20how%20lovely%20they%20look%20in%20the%20photo%20below.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20can%20see%20all%20those%20peach%20chunks,%20right?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOKAY!!%20%20I%20cannot%20tell%20a%20lie.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20could%20not%20find%20peach%20jello%20ANYWHERE%20in%20this%20town.%20%20It's%20small,%20remember?%20%20And%20there.%20was.%20no.%20peach.%20jello.%20to%20be%20found.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eso%20I%20%20used%20the%20new%20Mango%20flavored%20jello%20and%20mangos.%20%20%20Mmmmmmm.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20soooo%20good!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20does%20say%20%20%22fruit'%20salad.%20%20So%20I%20figure%20one%20can%20substitute%20any%20fruit,%20right?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDo%20you%20have%20peach%20jello%20in%20your%20town?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECottage%20Fruit%20Salad%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELinda%20Ornelas,%20Walla%20Walla,%20WA%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20small%20container%20of%20Cool%20Whip%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThoroughly%20mix%20cottage%20cheese%20and%20dry%20jello.%20%20Add%20peaches%20and%20cool%20whip.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChill%20at%20least%201%20hour.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOOPS!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENever%20mind.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(it%20says%20peach.%20%20I%20just%20left%20the%20store)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOkay,%20so%20there%20is%20such%20a%20thing%20as%20peach%20jello.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20I'm%20sure%20it%20would%20be%20great.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut....%20.try%20the%20mango.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(sorry%20Linda)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20Linda%20with%20her%202nd%20showing%20in%20the%20FF%20cookbook!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShe%20has%20lots%20more%20to%20go,%20so%20lets%20see%20if%20I%20can%20think%20of%20a%20story%20to%20tell.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell%20last%20time%20I%20said%20that%20I%20danced%20in%20a%20Go-Go%20cage%20in%20a%20bar%20on%20my%2013th%20birthday--with%20her%20permission!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhhhattt?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShe%20and%20her%20husband%20ran%20a%20janitorial%20service%20and%20my%20brother%20and%20I%20got%20to%20go%20with%20them%20one%20evening%20to%20clean.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBars%20closed%20up%20at%202am,%20so%20of%20course%20no%20one%20was%20there.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20cousin%20put%20a%20dime%20in%20the%20juke%20box%20and%20let%20me%20dance%20while%20the%20rest%20of%20them%20cleaned.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELinda%20was%20living%20in%20Southern%20California%20at%20the%20time%20and%20we%20were%20on%20a%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2-week%20Southern%20Cal%20vacation.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYes,%20I%20do%20remember%20going%20to%20%20Disneyland,%20but%20I%20what%20really%20stands%20out%20was%20getting%20to%20wear%20my%20white%20go-go%20boots%20and%20dance%20in%20a%20cage!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20what%20I%20thought%20I%20looked%20like:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMe%20and%20Linda.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELinda%20and%20I.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20hope%20you%20can%20forgive%20the%20peach/mango%20jello%20mix%20up%20Linda.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAND,%20the%20story%20is%20more%20about%20me,%20than%20you.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esorry.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut,%20I%20had%20fun!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20always%20had%20fun%20with%20you.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
