Fried Chicken with a Twist

Kids love fried chicken, this one comes with restaurant look but a taste of home.

Ingredientes

  • 1⁄2 kg. chicken thigh fillet, cut into cubes 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 pc egg, beaten
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • Oil, as needed
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp onion, minced
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 1-inch pc. ginger, minced
  • 3 tbsp Bango Kecap Manis
  • 1 pack Knorr Complete Recipe Mix Sweet & Sour (diluted in 1 1⁄2 cups of water)
  • 1 cup broccoli, cut into florets, blanched spring onions and toasted garlic, for garnish

Direcciones

  1. Marinate chicken fillets in sesame oil and light soy for at least 30 minutes. Dip in egg then coat with cornstarch. Chill before deep-frying. Deep-fry until crisp.
  2. In a pan, saute onion, garlic and ginger. Add Bango Kecap Manis and diluted Knorr Complete Recipe Mix Sweet & Sour. Bring to a boil then simmer until sauce is very thick.
  3. In a separate pan, coat chicken with the prepared glaze evenly over low heat. Serve with broccoli.
