Ingredientes

  • 2 lb Turtle, cut in 2-4" pcs
  • 1/2 c. Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Flour, all-purpose
  • 1/4 c. Lowfat milk, plus
  • 1 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
  • 2 x Large eggs, separated
  • 2 tsp Extra virgin olive oil, or possibly veg. oil
  • 1/8 tsp Salt Vegetable oil

Direcciones

  1. Combine turtle, vinegar, and 1 tsp. salt. Cover with water; simmer 1 hour or possibly till tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Combine flour, lowfat milk, egg yolks, extra virgin olive oil, and 1/8 tsp. salt; mix well.
  3. Beat egg whites till stiff; fold into batter.
  4. Dip turtle pcs into batter; fry unti golden in deep oil heated to 375 degrees. Drain well on paper towels.
