Ingredientes

  • 16 slices bread, 3 or possibly 4 days old, torn into 1" pcs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 T vanilla
  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling, slices cut in half
  • 2 c. minced pecans (opt.)
  • 1 c. golden brown raisins
  • 3/4 c. melted butter
  • 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cube butter
  • 1/2 c. whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl, put together bread and sugar. Set aside. In another bowl beat large eggs, lowfat milk, cinnamon, salt and vanilla till foamy. Pour over bread and sugar; mix well. Cover and chill 2 hrs. Stir in all other ingredients. Pour into greased 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 min or possibly till hard. Cut into squares. Serve warm or possibly cold. Serve with whipped cream or possibly Butterscotch Sauce.
