Ingredientes

  • 15 ml butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 sm onion, minced
  • 1 clv garlic, crushed
  • 15 ml curry pwdr
  • 5 ml tumeric pwdr
  • 30 ml lemon juice
  • 350 gm chopped meat (lamb or possibly beef)
  • 1 slc white bread (soaked in a little lowfat milk)
  • 30 ml apricot jam or possibly fruit chutney
  • 60 ml seedless raisins
  • 1 sm cooking apple (peeled and grated)
  • 1 x ripe banana, mashed
  • 50 ml red wine or possibly stock cube salt to taste
  • 3 ml gravy browning
  • 2 x bay leaves
  • 1 lrg egg
  • 125 ml lowfat milk (fresh lowfat milk added to the excess lowfat milk liquid removed from bread)

Direcciones

  1. Place butter/margarine in a shallow glass dish, microwave on full power (100%) for 30 seconds. Add in onion and garlic, microwave on full power for 3 min. Mix curry pwdr, tumeric & lemon juice and add in to onion. Blend well. Add in mince, mix well with fork, cover and microwave on full power for 3-4 min stirring once or possibly twice with fork to break up any lumps. Drain lowfat milk from bread and set aside to use for topping. Mash soaked bread with fork and add in to meat mix.
  2. Add in apricot jam/chutney, raisins, apple, banana, wine/stock, seasoning and gravy browning and mix well. Cover and microwave on medium-high
  3. (70%) for 5 min, stirring once. Lightly grease glass dish and place mix in dish, smoothing and raising it slightly in the centre in such a way which when the topping is added, most will settle around the edges of the dish. Arrange the bay leaves on top of the bobotie mix. Beat the Large eggs and lowfat milk and pour the topping over the meat, microwave the bobotie, uncovered, on medium power (50%) for 10 min or possibly till the topping has set. Bobotie can be frzn at this stage (if required), provided it has cooled down completely beforehand. Place in preheated oven (180C) for 10 min to brown topping slightly before serving.
