%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAre%20you%20wondering%20why%20I'm%20making%20pesto%20when%20fresh%20basil%20isn't%20even%20in%20season%20yet%20(at%20least%20it%20isn't%20in%20the%20USA)?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20this%20really%20cool%20middle%20eastern%20market%20that%20has%20fantastic%20prices%20had%20fresh%20basil%20for%20a%20lot%20less%20than%20the%20supermarket%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20the%20next%20HBin5%20bread%20assignment%20calls%20for%20pesto.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(Stay%20tuned%20for%20that%20tantalizing%20outcome.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyways....here's%20how%20I%20make%20my%20pesto.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20did%20notice%20a%20difference%20in%20the%20flavor%20of%20my%20pesto....LOVED%20IT!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20your%20handy%20dandy%20food%20processor,%20process%20your%20basil%20until%20fine%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELook%20at%20the%20difference.%202%20packed%20cups%20of%20basil%20leaves....before%20and%20after.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20garlic,%20nuts,%20parmesan%20cheese%20and%20salt%20and%20pepper....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EProcess%20until%20fine......it'll%20look%20like%20green%20paste%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESlowly%20add%20the%20olive%20oil%20and%20process%20for%20a%20few%20seconds%20more%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20all%20that%20basil%20made%20this%20much%20pesto.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETaaaaa%20taaaaaaaaaaaaasssss%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyways...I%20only%20need%20about%201/2%20cup%20for%20my%20next%20bread%20project.%20I%20could%20store%20the%20remainder%20in%20the%20fridge...oooooor...save%20it%20for%20later%20by%20placing%20it%20in%20an%20ice%20cube%20tray%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20the%20pesto%20is%20frozen,%20I%20store%20it%20in%20a%20freezer%20bag.%20It%20defrosts%20really%20quickly%20and%20is%20great%20in%20a%20pinch%20for%20all%20sorts%20of%20stuff.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20a%20little%20mayo%20for%20a%20nice%20sandwich%20spread....top%20your%20pasta%20with%20it%20or%20make%20a%20nice%20creamy%20pesto%20sauce%20by%20adding%20to%20that%20easy%20alfredo%20sauce%20I%20mentioned%20(I%20think%20I'll%20post%20that%20recipe%20soon...one%20I%20got%20from%20an%20Italian%20I%20went%20to%20school%20with).%20Crostini?%20ooooh%20ya...that%20would%20be%20good%20too.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
