- MEATBALLS: Mix all ingredients, adding beaten egg whites last. Form into balls. SAUCE: Boil first 6 ingredients 30 min. Strain; bring to boiling point, add in meat balls and simmer 15 min. Remove meat balls to warm platter, keeping them warm. Add in vinegar to liquid. Dissolve flour in small amount of cool water, add in to beaten yolks. Add in this thickening mix gradually to seasoned liquid, stirring constantly till smooth and thick; pour over meat balls and garnish with lemon slices and capers.
