Ingredientes

  • 20 c. thinly-sliced squash
  • 4 x minced onions
  • 4 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 x sweet peppers
  • 1 x cayenne pepper or possibly to taste
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp. celery salt
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 2 tsp powdered alum
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 2 can pimentos - (4 ounce ea)

Direcciones

  1. Slice squash, add in onions and salt; mix thoroughly. Let stand for 3 hrs; drain thoroughly.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, add in squash and onions and let boil 3 min while stirring. Pack in sterilized jars and seal.
