Receta Gerry's Squash Pickles

Ingredientes
- 20 c. thinly-sliced squash
- 4 x minced onions
- 4 Tbsp. salt
- 3 x sweet peppers
- 1 x cayenne pepper or possibly to taste
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. celery salt
- 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 2 tsp powdered alum
- 2 c. vinegar
- 2 can pimentos - (4 ounce ea)
Direcciones
- Slice squash, add in onions and salt; mix thoroughly. Let stand for 3 hrs; drain thoroughly.
- Combine remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, add in squash and onions and let boil 3 min while stirring. Pack in sterilized jars and seal.
