Ingredientes

  • 3/4 c. whole-wheat pastry flour (or possibly all-purpose white flour)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon zest grated
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger grated
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar may double
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 5 c. pears sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice Whipped cream or possibly frzn yogurt to serve

Direcciones

  1. Prepare grill for indirect heat.
  2. Mix the flour, lemon zest, ginger, and brown sugar in a bowl. Using a pastry cutter, two knives, or possibly a food processor, cut the butter into the flour mix till the mix is crumbly but not sticky.
  3. Place the pear slices in an 8- by 8-inch square baking dish, spreading them proportionately. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Spoon the crumb mix over the top of the pears.
  4. Bake on the grill for 20 to 30 min, checking for doneness periodically (when the pears are tender and the top is browned). This dish will be juicy.
  5. Serve straight from the grill with just a dollop of whipped cream or possibly frzn yogurt (as desired).
  6. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
  7. Comments: This simple dessert is just sufficient to satisfy. Try adding a small amount of ginger to the whipped cream as well.
