- Prepare grill for indirect heat.
- Mix the flour, lemon zest, ginger, and brown sugar in a bowl. Using a pastry cutter, two knives, or possibly a food processor, cut the butter into the flour mix till the mix is crumbly but not sticky.
- Place the pear slices in an 8- by 8-inch square baking dish, spreading them proportionately. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Spoon the crumb mix over the top of the pears.
- Bake on the grill for 20 to 30 min, checking for doneness periodically (when the pears are tender and the top is browned). This dish will be juicy.
- Serve straight from the grill with just a dollop of whipped cream or possibly frzn yogurt (as desired).
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
- Comments: This simple dessert is just sufficient to satisfy. Try adding a small amount of ginger to the whipped cream as well.
