Ingredientes

  • 1/3 cup Oil
  • 12 lbs top round cut into think strips
  • 3 lbs sliced onions
  • 2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 - 3 oz fresh grated ginger root
  • 3 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 1/4 cups dry red wine
  • 1/2 cup salt reduced soy sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups thyme
  • pepper
  • 2 lbs sliced green pepper
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 3 lbs raw brown rice

Direcciones

  1. In a large wide heavy pot ( or skillet) heat oil and coow beef until no longer pink.
  2. If you marinate beef, add drain marinade and add later.
  3. Add sliced onions, mushrooms, grated ginger, and garlic.
  4. Cook until onions are soft ( 10 minutes) stirring often.
  5. Add wine, soy sauce, thyme and pepper and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook until meat is tender ( 40 minutes).
  7. Add green pepper and cook 5 minutes.
  8. Finally, add tomato paste and cornstach mixed with water.
  9. Cook until juices ate thickened. Prepare Baked Brown Rice and serve using a No. 8 dipper for the rice.
