  • 4 x Slice of bread
  • 6 ounce Fresh goat cheese
  • 1/2 c. Walnuts
  • 3/4 c. Honey

  1. 4 Slices of country-style French bread, about 1 inch thick 1 log fresh goat cheese (about 6 ounces), cut into 4 slices 1/2 c. walnuts, coarsely minced 3/4 c. honey (clover, heather, lavender, orange blossom) Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and top with the cheese. "Roast" till the cheese is slightly browned and the bread is golden brown, about 15 min. In a small bowl, combine the walnuts and honey.
  2. Arrange the bread on plates. Top each slice with a spoonful of the honey and nuts, and serve at once.
  3. Serves 4.
