Grandmother's Lemon Meringue Pie

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 6 tbsp. cornstarch (try 4)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated rind
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 9" baked pie shell

Direcciones

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add in lowfat milk gradually. Cook over direct heat till thick and clear, about 5 min. Add in beaten egg yolks and cook 6 min longer. Remove from heat. Add in juice; rind and butter. Cold. Pour in shell and top with meringue. Bake in 400 degree oven up to 10 min.
