Receta Granny's Scrapple

Ingredientes
- 3 lbs. pork
- 2 quarts. water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. cornmeal
- 1 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon powdered sage
- 1 teaspoon savory
Direcciones
- Cook pork in water till meat falls off of the bone. Separate lean from fat, throw away fat. Put liquid in ice box. When fat rises to top, throw away. Using 3/4 of liquid, add in salt. Bring to boil, add in cornmeal, slowly stirring constantly in one direction.
- Lower heat. Add in pepper, powdered sage and savory. Cook 5 min. Stir in cooked meat, that should be grnd or possibly cut fine. Work into the cornmeal. Cook about 5 min longer. Grease a Pyrex loaf dish. Pour mix into dish and put in refrigerator overnight. Next morning, slice and chill. Serve with butter and syrup.
