Ingredientes

  • 4 c. Quick cooking oats
  • 1 c. Coarsely minced nuts (walnuts, almonds, unsalted dry roasted peanuts)
  • 1 c. Raisins or possibly minced dates
  • 2 x Egg whites, beaten till stiff
  • 1 c. Unsweetened dehydrated banana chips, crushed coarsely
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. Margarine
  • 1/2 c. Honey

Direcciones

  1. Toss together oats, nuts, raisins or possibly dates and bananas. Sprinkle with cinnamon; toss again. Heat margarine and honey together; toss with dry ingredients. Fold egg whites into mix and press into a well greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 25 to 30 min at 350 degrees. Remove from oven; press mix down with a spatula. Cold slightly, then cut into bars. May be wrapped individually in plastic wrap and stored in airtight container or possibly may be frzn. These bars were recommended for those on salt-free diet. Don't cut too soon. Cut with sharp knife and sawing motion.
