%20So%20I%20bought%20some%20more%20at%20the%20Woodstock%20Farm%20Festival%20yesterday%20to%20supplement.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlthough%20I%20have%20finally%20mastered%20the%20art%20of%20making%20aioli%20from%20scratch%20(and%20it%20is%20an%20out-of-this-world%20treat),%20I%20have%20to%20admit%20that%20I%20am%20usually%20too%20lazy%20busy%20to%20do%20it.%20Instead,%20I%20get%20great,%20quick%20results%20by%20just%20doctoring%20store-bought%20mayonnaise.%20I%20used%20a%20new%20Hellmann's%20mayo%20that%20includes%20olive%20oil%20for%20this%20batch%20of%20aioli%20and%20it%20turned%20out%20great.%20They're%20offering%20a%20dollar%20off%20the%20stuff%20if%20you%20want%20to%20try%20it%20(just%20click%20the%20Coupon%20tab%20on%20that%20page%20if%20you're%20interested.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20herbs%20you%20use%20are%20up%20to%20you%20but%20basil%20and%20dill%20are%20great%20choices%20to%20start%20with%20if%20you%20have%20either%20on%20hand%20(I%20used%20both.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20the%20creamy,%20garlicky,%20herb-filled%20taste%20you%20can%20achieve%20in%20just%20a%20matter%20of%20minutes.%20My%20suggestion%20is%20not%20to%20skimp%20on%20the%20salt!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%20care%20not%20to%20overcook%20the%20green%20beans%20as%20you%20want%20to%20blanch%20them%20just%20long%20enough%20to%20make%20them%20tender-crisp%20but%20not%20so%20much%20that%20they%20get%20limp%20and%20bland%20looking.%20One%20of%20the%20keys%20to%20getting%20the%20beans%20right%20is%20having%20an%20ice%20water%20bath%20ready%20to%20stop%20the%20cooking%20once%20you%20remove%20them%20from%20the%20boiling%20water%20-%20otherwise,%20they%20will%20continue%20to%20cook%20for%20a%20number%20of%20minutes%20as%20they%20cool%20down.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToss%20it%20all%20together%20and%20you%20have%20a%20gorgeous%20summer%20side%20that%20should%20please%20everyone%20as%20it's%20both%20dairy%20and%20gluten-free%20(although%20it's%20not%20vegan%20due%20to%20the%20eggs%20in%20the%20mayo)%20which%20can%20be%20a%20plus%20if%20there%20are%20people%20in%20your%20life%20who%20can't%20or%20won't%20eat%20dairy/wheat/gluten.%20Ours%20accompanied%20grilled%20shell%20steak%20and%20a%20grilled%20radicchio%20and%20herb%20salad%20that%20I%20hope%20to%20post%20a%20recipe%20for%20very%20soon.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGreen%20Beans%20With%20Quick%20Lemon%20Basil%20Aioli%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%204%20as%20a%20side%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20salad%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Make%20the%20aioli%20by%20combining%20all%20the%20sauce%20ingredients%20and%20stirring%20well.%20Taste%20and%20adjust%20the%20flavors%20as%20needed.%20It's%20okay%20if%20it%20seems%20a%20bit%20salty%20and%20garlicky%20-%20remember,%20this%20is%20going%20to%20provide%20the%20sole%20seasoning%20for%20a%20lot%20of%20green%20beans.%20You%20can%20make%20the%20aioli%20a%20day%20in%20advance%20if%20you%20like%20-%20the%20flavors%20only%20improve%20with%20a%20little%20extra%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Bring%20a%20large%20pot%20of%20water%20to%20the%20boil.%20Then%20add%20the%20green%20beans%20and%20blanch%20then%20until%20they're%20just%20a%20little%20bit%20tender%20but%20still%20bright%20green%20-%20probably%20just%202-4%20minutes%20(depending%20on%20the%20size%20and%20toughness%20of%20the%20beans%20you're%20working%20with.)%20While%20they're%20cooking,%20prepare%20a%20large%20pot%20of%20very%20cold%20water%20mixed%20with%20ice%20cubes%20so%20that%20you'll%20have%20it%20at%20the%20ready%20to%20put%20the%20blanched%20beans%20in%20-%20this%20is%20important%20so%20that%20you%20can%20stop%20the%20cooking%20process%20(otherwise,%20they'll%20continue%20to%20cook%20and%20end%20up%20overdone).%20Once%20the%20beans%20are%20done,%20remove%20them%20from%20the%20water%20with%20a%20slotted%20spoon%20or%20by%20pouring%20them%20into%20a%20colander,%20then%20place%20them%20in%20the%20ice%20water%20bath%20for%205%20minutes%20to%20ensure%20that%20the%20cooking%20stops.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Combine%20the%20cooled%20down%20blanched%20beans%20and%20the%20sauce,%20stirring%20with%20a%20large%20spoon%20to%20ensure%20that%20everything%20gets%20well-coated%20with%20the%20aioli%20and%20serve.%20It's%20delicious%20warm%20or%20cold%20and%20goes%20well%20with%20nearly%20everything%20(especially%20anything%20grilled.)%20If%20it%20looks%20like%20there's%20too%20much%20sauce,%20save%20what's%20leftover%20in%20the%20fridge%20-%20it's%20great%20with%20grilled%20salmon%20or%20other%20fish,%20steamed%20potatoes%20and%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDisclaimer:%20I%20received%20a%20sample%20of%20Hellmann's%20Mayonnaise%20with%20Olive%20Oil%20to%20try,%20and%20was%20compensated%20for%20my%20ingredients%20and%20time%20in%20creating%20this%20recipe,%20but%20my%20opinions%20are%20100%25%20my%20own.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
