Green Chili And Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredientes

  • 1 3/4 c. Whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 c. Buttermilk
  • 3 ounce Lowfat cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 ounce Canned green chili peppers, minced

Direcciones

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together. Preheat the oven to 450F.
  2. Using a pastry blender, cut the butter into the flour mix to make fine crumbs.
  3. Gently stir in the buttermilk, cheese, and peppers, using a fork.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls into 12 mounds on a bakino sheet. Bake for 12 - 15 min, or possibly till the biscuits are lightly browned on top. Serve at once.
