Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Fine-grained bulgur
  • 1 lb Medium-fat grnd lamb
  • 1 c. Chopped onions
  • 1 x Jalapeno seeded and chopped
  • 1 sm Sweet red pepper seeded and chopped
  • 2 tsp Crushed garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp Freshly grnd cumin
  • 1/2 c. Minced flat-leaf parsley
  • 1/2 c. Minced fresh mint leaves Salt to taste Black pepper, freshly grnd to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil

Direcciones

  1. Wash bulgur, put it in a bowl, sprinkle generously with sufficient water to moisten, and let stand 30 min. Add in all the remaining ingredients, season with salt and pepper, and knead to blend. Mix to a paste in food processor. Shape egg-size pcs in inch-thick oval patties (kefta). Grill on both sides till golden brown and crisp. Or possibly you can cook them in a cast iron skillet heated very warm and coated lightly with oil.
