Grilled Rye Blue Cheese Sandwiches

Ingredientes

  • 1 sm red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) finely minced parsley Salt and freshly grnd pepper to taste
  • 8 slc rye bread
  • 4 Tbsp. (60 ml) butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. (375 ml) crumbled blue cheese

Direcciones

  1. Combine the sliced onion, vinegar, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl and toss to combine. Brush the bread with the melted butter and place four pcs side by side, buttered side down, on a work surface.
  2. Scatter the onions over the bread and sprinkle the cheese over the onions. Top with the remaining bread, buttered side up. Grill over moderately warm coals till toasted, about 2 min per side. Remove from the grill and cut into quarters.
  3. Serves 4 to 6.
