%20,%20well%20Manish%20just%20happened%20to%20get%20one%20from%20Whole%20Foods%20without%20cutting%20it%20into%20smaller%20pieces,%20so%20I%20thought%20why%20not?!!%20I%20took%20these%20snaps%20in%20the%20evening%20around%207pm,%20so%20they%20look%20quite%20dull.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFound%20a%20really%20simple%20recipe%20here%20and%20I%20had%20all%20the%20ingredients%20at%20hand%20and%20adapted%20it%20a%20bit%20more%20to%20suit%20our%20taste.%20I%20was%20initially%20a%20bit%20skeptical%20about%20grilling%20fish%20by%20wrapping%20it%20in%20foil%20and%20just%20pouring%20the%20marinade%20over%20the%20fish%20without%20actually%20marinating%20it.%20But%20if%20the%20foil%20is%20wrapped%20such%20that%20the%20marinade%20does%20not%20drip%20out%20much,%20it%20retains%20all%20the%20flavors%20and%20results%20in%20a%20flaky,%20moist%20and%20delicious%20grilled%20fish%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20fish%20was%20so%20flavorful%20and%20flaky%20and%20the%20lemon%20wedges%20tasted%20like%20pickle.%20Manish%20literally%20ate%20up%20all%20the%20lemon%20wedges%20too.%20Though%20I%20had%20rubbed%20some%20red%20chilli%20powder%20on%20the%20fish%20and%20also%20added%20red%20chilli%20flakes%20in%20the%20marinade,%20it%20did%20not%20make%20the%20fish%20very%20spicy.%20I%20guess%20the%20lemon%20juice%20sort%20of%20gave%20a%20good%20balance%20between%20tangy%20and%20mild%20spicy,%20such%20that%20even%20my%2015%20month%20old%20could%20eat%20the%20fish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrilled%20whole%20Mackerel%20with%20Lemon,%20Thyme%20and%20Red%20chilli%20flakes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou'll%20Need%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Mix%20together%20the%20red%20chilli%20powder,%20turmeric%20powder%20and%20salt.%20Cut%20deep%20slits%20into%20the%20fish%20at%201%20inch%20intervals%20and%20rub%20the%20whole%20fish%20with%20this%20dry%20spice%20mix%20,%20making%20sure%20that%20the%20spice%20gets%20rubbed%20inside%20the%20slits%20as%20well%20and%20keep%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Mix%20together%20all%20the%20ingredients%20for%20the%20marinade.%20Taste%20test%20to%20make%20sure%20the%20marinade%20is%20flavorful.%20(make%20sure%20not%20to%20add%20too%20much%20salt%20as%20the%20fish%20is%20already%20rubbed%20with%20some%20salt)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Preheat%20your%20grill,%20and%20in%20the%20meantime%20cut%20out%202%20large%20foil%20wraps%20(the%20foil%20wraps%20should%20be%20larger%20than%20your%20fish)%20and%20place%203%20lemon%20wedges%20on%20the%20foil%20and%20place%20the%20fish%20carefully%20over%20these%20wedges.%20Again%20place%203%20or%20more%20lemon%20wedges%20over%20the%20fish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Arrange%20the%20foil%20such%20that%20it%20forms%20a%20dish%20like%20appearance%20and%20pour%20the%20marinade%20over%20the%20fish.%20Slightly%20lift%20the%20fish%20allowing%20some%20marinade%20to%20coat%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20fish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20Completely%20wrap%20the%20fish%20carefully%20making%20sure%20that%20the%20marinade%20does%20not%20seep%20out.%20Place%20the%20fish%20over%20a%20lightly%20oiled%20grill%20and%20grill%20for%2015%20minutes.%20Using%20tongs,%20turn%20the%20fish%20over%20and%20again%20grill%20for%20another%2015%20minutes.%20(Some%20oil%20may%20drip%20out%20at%20this%20point,%20which%20is%20fine)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20Transfer%20fish%20to%20a%20large%20platter%20using%202%20metal%20spatulas%20or%20tongs.%20Let%20it%20sit%20for%20sometime%20before%20opening.%20Serve%20hot%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20sure%20this%20recipe%20can%20even%20be%20tried%20for%20Baked%20Fish.%20Here's%20some%20good%20tips%20on%20how%20to%20Oven%20bake%20a%20fish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVery%20soon%20we%20were%20just%20left%20with%20this%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20give%20this%20a%20try.%20Its%20a%20change%20from%20our%20usual%20fish%20preparations%20and%20the%20taste%20is%20unique%20and%20really%20delicious.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBtw,%20if%20anyone%20is%20wondering%20if%20we%20ate%20the%20fish%20with%20strawberries%20(as%20shown%20in%20the%20pic),%20let%20me%20just%20say,%20all%20the%20strawberries%20were%20eaten%20by%20my%20strawberry%20loverboy%20-%20lil%20Manav.%20He%20simply%20loves%20the%20fruit%20and%20will%20eat%20it%20with%20anything.%20So%20fish%20and%20strawberries%20for%20him%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESee%20you%20soon!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Manju%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
