Ingredientes

  • 4 x Ruffed grouse (or possibly other game bird), halved Flour Salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp Thyme -Or possibly-
  • 1/2 tsp Rosemary
  • 1/4 lb Butter
  • 4 x Shallots or possibly scallions
  • 1/2 lb Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 c. Lowfat sour cream, at room temperature
  • 1/2 c. Chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Beach plum jelly

Direcciones

  1. Roll the bird pcs in flour, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  2. In a casserole dish or possibly skillet saute/fry the bird pcs in 6 Tbsp. of the butter.
  3. Remove grouse pcs and saute/fry the shallots or possibly scallions and mushrooms in same casserole or possibly skillet, using the remaining butter.
  4. Return grouse to casserole, add in lowfat sour cream into that has been stirred the chicken broth abd beach plum jelly.
  5. Cover and bake in 350 F oven for about an hour.
