Receta Grouse, Chukar, Or Pheasant Smothered In Sour Cream

Ingredientes
- 4 x Ruffed grouse (or possibly other game bird), halved Flour Salt & pepper
- 1 tsp Thyme -Or possibly-
- 1/2 tsp Rosemary
- 1/4 lb Butter
- 4 x Shallots or possibly scallions
- 1/2 lb Mushrooms, sliced
- 2 c. Lowfat sour cream, at room temperature
- 1/2 c. Chicken broth
- 1 tsp Beach plum jelly
Direcciones
- Roll the bird pcs in flour, salt, pepper, and herbs.
- In a casserole dish or possibly skillet saute/fry the bird pcs in 6 Tbsp. of the butter.
- Remove grouse pcs and saute/fry the shallots or possibly scallions and mushrooms in same casserole or possibly skillet, using the remaining butter.
- Return grouse to casserole, add in lowfat sour cream into that has been stirred the chicken broth abd beach plum jelly.
- Cover and bake in 350 F oven for about an hour.
