Gumbo Pot Drunken Shrimp

Ingredientes

  • 3 can pale beer - (12 ounce ea)
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh garlic
  • 1 c. cool butter cut Tbsp. size
  • 2 1/2 ounce Cajun spice mix
  • 2 lb medium-sized shrimp with shells
  • 2 Tbsp. dry rosemary Salt (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Pour the beer into a saucepan and cook over medium heat, allowing the foam to dissipate. When warm and settled, 10 to 12 min, add in the garlic, then whisk in the butter chips - 1 at a time - and the spice mix till blended.
  2. Add in the shrimp, reduce the heat and poach in the sauce, about 4 min. Don't boil; keep at a bare simmer. The shrimp stay plump if cooked at a medium-low temperature. Add in the rosemary to taste. If the spice mix you use is low in salt, you may need to add in a little.
  3. Serve over rice or possibly on its own with a crusty loaf of bread.
  4. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
