Hamentashen/Pie Crust Dough

Ingredientes

  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. Oil
  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/4 c. Orange juice
  • 1 x Grated orange rind
  • 2 1/2 x Tp 3 c. flour
  • 1 lb Prepared mohn filling,
  • 1 lb Lekvar, (apple or possibly prune Strawberry or possibly apricot preserves

Direcciones

  1. Mix all well. Add in flour as necessary to make smooth elastic dough. Divide dough and roll out on floured surface to about 1/8" thick. Use a round cookie cutter or possibly glass to cut out a 3" circle. Fill with 1/2 -2/3 tsp. of filling in middle of circle.
  2. TO SHAPE: Lift up right and left sides, healthy pinch together.Bring bottom flap up to center to meet 2 sides. Healthy pinch edges together. Place on greased cookie sheet 1" apart. Bake in preheated 350* oven for 20 min.
  3. FILLINGS: 1 lb. prepared mohn filling (poppy seed) or possibly 1 lb. lekvar
  4. (apple or possibly prune butter) or possibly strawberry or possibly apricot preserves
