%20I'm%20still%20around%20and%20waiting%20to%20check%20in%20your%20post%20occasionally!%20Nonetheless,%20I'm%20grateful%20to%20have%20met%20great%20people%20in%20this%20blogosphere%20and%20have%20special%20relationship%20with%20them.%20I%20don't%20take%20things%20for%20granted%20and%20will%20embrace%20every%20moment%20in%20my%20life.%20Thank%20you%20everyone%20for%20your%20support,%20encouragement,%20and%20compliment.%20All%20these%20things%20keep%20me%20going%20and%20I%20hope%20it%20shines%20through%20my%20work%20and%20food.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20actually%20cooked%20quite%20a%20bit%20during%20the%20holidays%20but%20didn't%20get%20to%20post%20any.%20Below%20are%20some%20of%20the%20pictures%20I%20took%20before%20they%20were%20gone!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20these%20Christmas%20cookies%20for%20friends.%20These%20are%20before%20decoration.%20I%20also%20hosted%20simple%20Christmas%20dinner%20for%20close%20friends%20on%20a%20Friday%20night%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20I%20was%20on%20a%20second%20attempt.%20This%20time%20I%20tried%20to%20have%20a%20%22luke%20warm%22%20milk%20(about%20100-110%20degrees).%20Your%20skin%20would%20feel%20just%20a%20little%20but%20warm%20when%20touched%20luke%20warm%20water/milk.%20It%20seemed%20to%20work%20this%20time.%20I%20covered%20my%20dough%20in%20a%20fridge%20overnight.%20Used%20muffin%20pan%20instead%20of%20brioche%20pan.%20The%20recipe%20called%20for%204%20equal%20dough%20portion,%20then%206%20equal%20pieces.%20However,%20I%20did%203%20equal%20pieces%20which%20was%20double%20in%20size%20and%20also%20tried%20the%20bigger%20pieces%20(about%204%20equal%20pieces).%20It%20might%20be%20that%20my%20dough%20didn't%20rise%20as%20much%20as%20a%20recipe%20called%20for.%20I%20also%20had%20problem%20with%20butter.%20I%20probably%20added%20butter%20too%20late%20(the%20dough%20was%20already%20formed)%20and%20butter%20made%20the%20dough%20slipped%20right%20off%20the%20hook%20and%20didn't%20mix%20butter%20well%20with%20the%20dough.%20On%20the%20second%20attempt,%20I%20added%20right%20after%20the%20dough%20started%20to%20form.%20It%20worked.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAt%20the%20end,%20it%20turned%20out%20great%20-%20not%20too%20dense%20but%20fluffy!%20It%20wasn't%20perfect%20but%20good%20enough.%20I%20think%20I'm%20going%20to%20give%20myself%20a%20pass%20this%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20not%20sure%20if%20my%20yeast%20works%20right.%20If%20you%20have%20any%20comment,%20please%20feel%20free%20to%20let%20me%20know%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrioche%20Rolls%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdapted%20from%20Cooking%20Light%20Magazine%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYield:%2024%20rolls%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDissolve%20yeast%20in%20warm%20milk%20in%20the%20bowl%20of%20a%20stand%20mixer.%20Let%20stand%205%20mins%20until%20you%20see%20bubble.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWeigh%20or%20lightly%20spoon%20flour%20into%20dry%20measuring%20cups.%20Add%20flour,%20sugar,%20salt,%20and%20eggs%20to%20milk%20mixture.%20Beat%20with%20a%20stand%20mixer%20at%20low%20speed.%20When%20it%20starts%20to%20form%20or%20pull%20away%20from%20the%20side,%20stop%20and%20change%20to%20a%20dough%20hook.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20butter.%20Beat%20it%20at%20low%20speed%20then%20medium%20speed%20until%20incorporated%20and%20the%20dough%20is%20soft%20and%20elastic%20about%204-5%20mins.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20dough%20in%20a%20large%20bowl%20coated%20with%20olive%20oil;%20turning%20to%20coat%20top.%20Cover%20and%20let%20rise%20in%20warm%20place%20(I%20put%20in%20an%20off%20oven)%20for%201%20hr%20or%20until%20doubled%20in%20size.%20Gently%20press%20two%20fingers%20into%20dough.%20If%20indentation%20remains,%20dough%20has%20risen%20enough).%20Punch%20dough%20down%20into%20a%20ball.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReturn%20dough%20to%20bowl;%20cover%20with%20plastic%20wrap%20and%20refrigerate%208%20hrs%20or%20overnight.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUncover%20dough%20and%20let%20stand%20about%2090%20mins%20or%20until%20dough%20is%20at%20room%20temperature.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDivide%20dough%20into%204%20equal%20portions,%20cut%20dough%20into%206%20equal%20pieces.%20Roll%20each%20piece%20into%20a%201.5%20inch%20ball.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERepeat%20procedure%20with%20remaining.%20Place%20rolls%20in%20muffin%20cups%20coated%20with%20cooking%20spray.%20Cover%20and%20let%20rise%20for%2045%20mins%20or%20until%20almost%20doubled%20in%20size.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20F%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20water%20and%20egg%20white.%20Stir%20with%20a%20whisk.%20Gently%20brush%20rolls%20with%20egg%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2014%20mins%20or%20until%20golden.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBefore%20serving,%20brush%20melted%20butter%20onto%20rolls.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBefore%20getting%20in%20an%20ovenAfterResting%20on%20a%20rackEat%20me!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
