Ingredientes

  • 2 x Egg whites, unbeaten
  • 1 c. Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 dsh Salt
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 3/4 c. Almonds, minced/toasted

Direcciones

  1. Combine egg whites, sugar, salt, and water in top of double boiler, beating with rotary egg beater till thoroughly mixed. Place over rapidly boiling water, beat constantly with rotary egg beater, and cook 7 min, or possibly till frosting will stand in peaks. Remove from boiling water; add in vanilla and beat till thick sufficient to spread. Add in nuts.
  2. Makes sufficient frosting to covertop and sides of 8x8xl-inch cake, or possibly about 2 dozen c. cakes. Decorate with minced almonds, if you like.
