%20and%20see%20immediately%20how%20they%20were%20received.%20What%20an%20awesome%20experience!%20My%20wish%20is%20that%20everyone%20on%20earth%20experience%20this%20at%20least%20once%20in%20their%20life!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20opportunities%20for%20education%20were%20all%20around%20me.%20I%20just%20kept%20taking%20it%20all%20in.%20On%20one%20side%20I%20saw%202%20Strong%20Women%20with%20fantastic%20fortitude%20and%20salesmanship%20skills,%20striving%20and%20making%20a%20way%20in%20life%20through%20serving%20wonderful%20fresh%20made%20food%20to%20the%20passersby.%20To%20my%20right%20flank%20was%20a%20Local%20Farmer%20who%20spent%20every%20chance%20he%20got%20educating%20his%20customers%20about%20how%20the%20bounty%20he%20had%20in%20front%20of%20him%20came%20to%20be.%20The%20tilling%20of%20soil%20on%20his%205%20acres%20in%20the%20Redlands,%20to%20the%20mightily%20forged%20drops%20of%20Sugar%20Cane%20Juice%20served%20by%20the%20cup%20over%20ice%20straight%20from%20the%20sugar%20cane%20itself.%20As%20he%20yielded%20the%20machete%20to%20cut%20the%20fiber%20off%20of%20the%20sugar%20cane%20he%20spoke%20to%20each%20and%20every%20customer.%20Telling%20them%20of%20his%20forefathers%20and%20how%20they%20made%20their%20way%20from%20soil%20to%20table%20just%20as%20he%20does%20today.%20He%20speaks%20of%20a%20life%20fraught%20with%20hard%20work,%20but%20sweet%20with%20an%20endless%20sustainable%20bounty%20for%20the%20future.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20sat%20a%20midst%20these%20people,%20I%20thought%20of%20what%20my%20part%20in%20this%20would%20be.%20I%20was%20simply%20in%20awe%20of%20the%20experience%20around%20me%20and%20took%20it%20all%20in.%20Spent%20many%20conversations%20with%20my%20customers%20talking%20about%20the%20calorie%20loaded%20traditional%20%20%E2%80%9CWhite%20Flour%E2%80%9D%20Baked%20Goods%20I%20sold%20and%20defending%20my%20choices,%20but%20never%20taking%20on%20the%20challenge.%20I%20neglected%20to%20point%20out%20that%20%E2%80%9CGround%20Almonds%E2%80%9D%20used%20as%20Almond%20Meal%20for%20cookies%20could%20increase%20one%E2%80%99s%20calorie%20intake%20way%20beyond%20what%20a%20normal%20person%20should%20consume%20in%20a%20day.%20Never%20countered%20the%20small%20statured%20weekend%20fitness%20enthusiast,%20who%20takes%20a%20long%20walk%20on%20a%20weekend%20with%20her%20girlfriends%20in%20a%20beautiful%20park,%20thinking%20that%20the%20food%20she%20buys%20at%20Whole%20Foods,%20and%20the%20lunch%20she%20had%20at%20Applebees%20makes%20her%20healthy;%20because%20by%20golly%20I%20was%20GLAD%20she%20was%20there.%20I%20was%20glad%20she%20took%20a%20moment%20to%20pass%20by%20the%20Farmer's%20Market%20and%20above%20all%20my%20stand%20to%20buy%20this%201%20confection.%20I%20was%20more%20than%20glad%20when%20she%20turned%20back%20to%20smile%20at%20me,%20as%20she%20bit%20into%20My%20Mango%20Coconut%20Square%20with%20sheer%20indulgence%20and%20satisfaction.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWas%20it%20really%20my%20place%20to%20tell%20her%20that%20the%20little%20bite%20she%20just%20took%20and%20so%20warmly%20enjoyed%20was%20not%20such%20the%20decadent%20indulgence%20she%20thought?%20Should%20I%20have%20boldly%20told%20her%20that%20the%20Fresh,%20Locally%20Grown,%20Locally%20made,%20confection%20that%20she%20just%20whole-heartedly%20consumed%20was%20made%20with%20love%20and%20with%20no%20preservatives,%20fewer%20ingredients%20&%20no%20ingredients%20with%20more%20than%206%20letters%20in%20their%20name?%20Should%20I%20have%20also%20told%20her%20that%20the%20Wonderfully%20Local%20and%20Handmade%20confection%20had%20FEWER%20calories%20than%20the%20commercially%20processed%20600%20calorie%20per%20cup%20%E2%80%9CAlmond%20Meal%E2%80%9D%20cookies%20from%20Whole%20Foods?%E2%80%9D%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENo.%20I%20just%20smiled%20and%20took%20in%20the%20gratitude%20and%20satisfaction%20of%20the%20moment.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20may%20be%20courageous%20enough%20next%20time%20to%20share%20some%20very%20basic%20facts,%20regarding%20calories,%20units%20of%20energy,%20smart%20choices%20and%20Treats%20being%20Treats%20and%20not%20a%20Sin,%20but%20as%20a%20%E2%80%9CFat%20Girl%E2%80%9D%20from%20New%20England%20I%20know%20that%20my%20grandmother%20lived%20to%20be%2080%20years%20old,%20cooking%20with%20Lard%20and%20Real%20Butter%20and%20White%20Flour.%20She%20didn't%20run%20marathons,%20she%20didn't%20jaunt%20out%20to%20her%20Yoga%20class.%20She%20did%20housework,%20spent%20time%20with%20her%20family%20and%20cooked%20REAL%20FOOD.%20She%20Bought%20LOCAL%20Eggs,%20LOCAL%20Butter%20and%20Milk.%20She%20cooked%20and%20baked%20to%20her%20heart%E2%80%99s%20content%20and%20I%20will%20do%20the%20same.%20Being%20a%20part%20of%20this%20new%20%E2%80%9CMovement%E2%80%9D,%20I%20know%20I%20will%20provide%20the%20same%20example%20for%20so%20many%20more%20generations%20to%20come.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20all%20of%20my%20customers%20Especially%20the%20%22Root%20Beer%20Float%20Man%22%20and%20his%20Beautiful%20Wife%20and%20Child%20THANK%20YOU%20for%20being%20a%20part%20of%20our%20Market%20and%20enjoying
