Hearty Fish Chowder

Ingredientes

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 6 tbsp. flour
  • 1 envelope Lipton country vegetable soup dry mix
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 pound thawed sole or possibly flounder
  • 1 pound shrimp or possibly crab
  • 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic to taste

Direcciones

  1. Cook first 5 ingredients in large saucepan till thick, stirring constantly. Add in fish and cheese and let simmer till cooked. Sprinkle with parsley before serving. Makes 6-8 small servings. Easy to double the recipe.
  2. OPTIONAL: Add in peas or possibly mixed vegetables to chowder for "color."
