Ingredientes

  • 1 pound grnd lamb
  • 2 lg. onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 (10 3/4 ounce.) cans chicken broth
  • 2 (28 ounce.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and quartered
  • 2 c. uncooked brown rice
  • 1 teaspoon dry whole oregano
  • 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn English peas
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 (4 ounce.) jar diced pimiento, undrained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Direcciones

  1. Combine lamb, onion and garlic in large Dutch oven; cook till lamb is browned and tender. Stir in chicken broth, tomatoes, rice and oregano; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 40 min. Stir mix occasionally.
  2. Add in remaining ingredients, stirring well. Simmer uncovered an additional 40 min, stirring occasionally. Yield: 8 servings.
