Ingredientes

  • 1/3 c. Butter Flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 dsh Pepper
  • 1 tsp Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 1 2/3 c. Evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 2 c. Cooked chicken, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. Pimento, minced
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 2 x Large eggs, separated
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Heat butter over a low heat in a medium saucepan; blend in 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, pepper, onion and basil.
  2. Stir in 1 c. evaporated lowfat milk and the chicken broth gradually, stirring over medium heat till thickened. Stir in lemon juice, chicken and pimento; turn into a greased 1-1/2 qt baking dish. Combine 2/3 c. flour with remaining salt and baking pwdr. Beat egg yolks slightly; beat in 2 Tbsp. melted butter and lowfat milk. Add in the flour mix and mix lightly.
  3. Beat egg whites till stiff but not dry; fold into flour mix. Pour mix over chicken in casserole. Bake 15 min or possibly till golden.
