Ingredientes

  • 3/4 c. Bottlled barbecue sauce
  • 1/3 c. Honey
  • 1/3 c. Apple jelly
  • 1/4 c. Ketchup
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1/4 c. Finely-minced celery
  • 1 Tbsp. Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Sweet pickle relish
  • 1 1/2 tsp Prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 3 1/2 lb Pork loin back ribs cut 3 rib portions

Direcciones

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine barbecue sauce, honey, jelly, ketchup, the 1/4 c. water, celery, brown sugar, relish, mustard and cinnamon. Cook and stir over medium heat till bubbly. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 15 min, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; cold.
  2. Meanwhile, place ribs in a Dutch oven. Add in water to cover. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 45 min, till tender. Drain. Cold slightly. Place ribs in a 3-qt baking dish; pour cooled sauce over ribs. Cover and refrigerateseveral hrs.
  3. Before serving, remove ribs from sauce. Reserve sauce. Grill ribs directly over medium coals or possibly broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 15 to 20 min, turning and brushing with sauce once. (Watch closely to prevent burning.) Heat any remaining sauce till bubbly; pass with ribs.
