Ingredientes

  • 2 env. yeast
  • 1 c. very hot water
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. instant potatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 c. plain wheat germ
  • 7-8 c. flour, white

Direcciones

  1. Sprinkle yeast over water.
  2. Heat buttermilk, salt, butter and honey together. Stir in potato flakes. Combine with yeast.
  3. Stir in soda, wheat germ and 3 c. flour. Add in rest of flour.
  4. Knead. Place in greased bowl. Let raise till double, 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
  5. Punch down, let rest 10 min.
  6. Shape into 2 loaves (large). Place in pans and let arise.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min.
