%20with%20other%20stuff%20like%20butter,%20cream%20cheese,%20milk,%20and%20water.%20%20And%20salt%20and%20flavorings.%20%20I%20give%20Hormel%20props%20for%20bucking%20the%20usual%20practice%20in%20processed%20foods,%20however:%20%20this%20product%20contains%20no%20high-fructose%20corn%20syrup.%20%20It's%20fairly%20light%20in%20calories%20(230%20for%20the%20tub)%20but%20there's%20a%20heavy%20sodium%20load%20at%20750%20mg.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20enough%20of%20this%20nutritional%20jibber%20jabber.%20%20Let's%20get%20to%20the%20important%20stuff:%20%20Taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20sauce%20is%20decidedly%20Velveeta-like:%20orange,%20mild,%20with%20actual%20cheese%20flavoring%20more%20predominant%20than%20saltiness.%20%20Although%20it%20was%20smooth%20and%20creamy,%20it's%20strong%20processed-cheese%20flavor%20actually%20worked%20against%20it%20for%20me%20(I%20would%20have%20preferred%20a%20more%20complex%20cheese%20sauce%20flavor%20with%20perhaps%20a%20bit%20of%20blue%20cheese%20or%20even%20a%20couple%20of%20dashes%20of%20Worcestershire%20sauce%20in%20the%20pot%20to%20liven%20it%20up)%20but%20this%20is%20a%20common%20mistake%20with%20big%20food%20conglomerates%20-%20they%20assume%20that%20kids%20have%20wooden%20palates%20and%20deliver%20kind%20of%20bland%20food%20to%20them,%20training%20them%20to%20continue%20having%20wooden%20palates.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlso,%20there's%20a%20ton%20of%20it.%20%20Stir%20the%20pot%20after%20taking%20it%20out%20of%20the%20microwave,%20and%20you%20reveal%20a%20huge%20amount%20of%20cheesy%20orange%20lava%20below%20the%20top%20surface%20of%20macaroni.%20%20The%20little%20macaroni%20tubes%20are%20swimming%20in%20a%20seemingly%20vast%20amount%20of%20it.%20%20I%20know%20that%20when%20Lynnafred%20was%20about%2010%20years%20old,%20this%20would%20have%20been%20like%20a%20meal%20from%20Paradise%20to%20her,%20but%20I%20got%20ahold%20of%20a%20spoon%20and%20ladled%20some%20of%20that%20stuff%20right%20out.%20%20%20Once%20the%20surplus%20cheese%20was%20removed%20and%20I%20got%20to%20douse%20it%20in%20ketchup%20like%20I%20do%20with%20all%20macaroni%20and%20cheese,%20it%20wasn't%20all%20that%20bad.%20%20I%20might%20even%20give%20it%20to%20a%20kid%20for%20a%20snack,%20as%20long%20as%20I%20kept%20an%20eye%20on%20how%20much%20salt%20they%20were%20going%20to%20take%20in%20for%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20day.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
