Ingredientes

  • 1/4 lb white mushrooms thinly sliced
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. whole lowfat milk heated
  • 1 c. chicken broth heated
  • 1/4 c. grated sharp cheddar
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh sage
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 8 slc toasted country bread
  • 8 ounce thinly-sliced turkey
  • 6 slc crumbled cooked bacon slices Minced fresh chives for garnish

Direcciones

  1. Cook the mushrooms in a large skillet in the butter over moderately-low heat, stirring till most of the liquid the mushrooms give off is evaporated. Add in the flour and cook, stirring, for 3 min. Add in the liquids in a stream, whisking and bring the mix to a boil. Simmer for 3 min and stir in the 2 cheeses, the herbs, and salt and pepper, to taste.
  2. Preheat the broiler.
  3. Arrange the bread slices in one layer on a sheet pan. Divide the turkey slices proportionately on top and spoon some of the sauce over each toast. Broil the slices for 2 to 3 min or possibly till golden brown and top each toast with some of the bacon and some of the chives.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.
