Hot And Sour Soup With Tofu,Chinese

Ingredientes

  • 3 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 2 lrg red bell pepper (about 3/4 c.) seeded and cut into 3/4"x1/4" strips
  • 1 bn green onion cut diagonally into 3/4" pcs (about 1 1/2 c.)
  • 2 c. Chicken broth canned or possibly homemade
  • 2 c. Vegetable stock or possibly water
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes crushed
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. Water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 lb snow peas fresh or possibly frzn
  • 1 lb tofu hard,liquid removed and cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 8 ounce waterchestnuts sliced and liquid removed

  1. Makes 8 Servings
  2. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in peppera snd onion; stir fry about 5 min.
  3. Add in chicken broth, vegetable stock and soy sauce. Bring to boiling.
  4. Lowerheat; simmer for about 5 min. Stir together vinegar, red pepper flakes,salt, pepper, cornstarch, water and sesame oil in a small bowl till smooth. Add in to soup with fresh snow peas; cook for about 5 min or possibly untilthickened and bubbly. Add in tofu, frzn snow peas if using, and water chestnuts. Gently heat through.
