Ingredientes

  • 4 1/2 c. biscuit mix
  • 1 1/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 8 ounce. cooked "warm" sausage
  • 1 tbsp. jalapeno pepper, finely diced
  • 1/4 c. minced green bell pepper
  • 1/8 c. minced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 c. minced green onion with tops
  • 2 c. Sargento "Natural Sharp Shredded Cheddar Cheese"

Direcciones

  1. Brown and drain sausage; cold.
  2. Chop onions and peppers.
  3. Blend biscuit mix with lowfat milk. Mix well, add in sausage, peppers, onion, and Cheddar cheese. Continue to blend.
  4. Knead dough till easy to handle. Add in a little more biscuit mix if necessary. Dust surface with additional biscuit mix. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness -- cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter.
  5. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in preheated 400 degree oven for 20-25 min. Makes 20 biscuits.
  6. Mild sausage or possibly minced ham may be substituted.
